Mingling cottage charm with modern elements, this nightstand is crafted from carefully selected hardwood solids and veneers with some durable engineered wood products such as MDF and particle board. MDF and particle board don't expand and contract with heat and cold and don't absorb as much moisture as solid wood, resulting in stronger and longer-lasting furniture. Using a multi-step finishing process, the piece is finished in a deep, rich, rub-through black, lending the piece contemporary character.

The rectangular tabletop has plenty of room for a reading lamp, clock, and photographs, and below, a storage drawer - enhanced with simple wood trim - can catch books and nighttime necessities. The drawer is constructed with sturdy plywood bottoms and sides, robust dovetail joinery, and full-extension glides for easy access.
