About Martin Furniture
Martin Furniture was founded in 1980 by Gil Martin in the San Diego suburb of El Cajon. Martin started the company in his garage with $400, a Craftsman table saw, and the business knowledge he gained from working for defense contractor, General Dynamics. Today, Martin Furniture specializes in American-made and imported office and home entertainment furniture. In 2003, it teamed up with Kathy Ireland's design company Kathy Ireland Home, creating furniture solutions for families.
