It's a little darker than the picture in person but it still looks great. All the details are high quality as well as the actual material. I was out of town so my parents put it together for me and they said it would have been awkward and hard for one person to do it but still doable. It was backorded when I orded it but I wasn't in any hury and even though it took a while to arrive it still came on schedule and was delivered to my front door as promised. Overall great first expierence ordering something from Hayneedle.

I ordered the headboard on the 21st and received it on the 24th. It wasn't supposed to ship until the 19th of the following month so I was very happy with the quick delivery. The head board was easy to assemble and very nice quality. I am very happy with it. The reason I gave it 4 stars vs. 5 is the pewter color in the picture is a littler different. It is more of a green/grey than a purple/grey. Still looks great.

This is a great looking bed- just what I had wanted and I spent a long time over several years looking for just the right upholstered bed for our room. The only problem was that I had to place the order three time- it's got "lost" in shipping the first two times. But I really wanted it and I'm so glad it finally got to my house. The boxes were beat to heck, but the bed inside was OK. It took us about 2 hours to assemble. The construction seems good. Quality and finish good. Only one warning- it is made in China. I felt this was a little deceptive since the description says it's from an established Kentucky furniture maker, which I took to mean the furniture was made there- not so, the bed arrived with tags saying Made in China for Hillsdale furniture.

I only purchased the headboard, but I was veryyyyy pleased. Looks and feels way more expensive than it was. The color was exact and although my bed was a little too short I have extra padding on my bed so there was no way to see the overlap. I would reccomend this headboard to anyone!!!! I also did alot of comparing and price shopping.
