The rich tones you see are the result of a cathedral cherry veneer combined with a hazelnut finish. This dark hardwood is resilient against most accidental damage. In addition, you won't have to worry about re-staining this: a little furniture polish now-and-again is all the upkeep needed to keep this bed looking its sharpest.
