    I was looking for a platform bed in maple and this was the best option without paying $1000+. It's attractive, but you get what you pay for. If you have an eye for detail you will be very disappointed There are only 3 wood border boards leaving the head board side unfinished. Also, the border corners don't match up (can be seen in the zoomed photo).The platform of the bed is enginered wood which isn't covered with the maple veneer. Exposed areas, particularly the corners, shows the unattractive particle board. I find this the to be the biggest con and plan on applying a vinyl maple flooring to improve the look.I assemble this by myself and with a power screwdriver. Needles to say, a second person would make it easier and quicker. The difficulty and directions were on par with [@]furniture.To improve the strength of the support boards I added gorilla glue.

    the platform bed is nice, putting it together is not difficult, but the pieces that create the base of the bed need to constantly be shifted before drilling the holes or else the bed base will not be straight. the construction seems to be crooked, but it does work out.

    i do like the space below for your feet, some platform beds are straight down, making it possible to bang your legs and hurt yourself, but this platform leaves space for your feet when u wake up and not hurt your legs.

    its a good buy for the price, but the product is a little imperfect in its construction.

        It is a nice simple design, A little hard to read the instructions, but once you get going it makes more sense. The particle board for the platform area seems like it could be a little more robust. For the materials I think I should have about $50.00 dollars less.

          This bed was and is perfect for my son. My son is a very big boy at 16, this bed is very sturdy,my oldest son put it together in no time, the only draw back the screws did not go in that easy and would not stay tight. even with that this bed was a godsend, my boy loves it, and most important it is holding my boy's weight.
