Description

Keep it simple and super-comfy with the Casey Daybed in Black, a stunning, traditional daybed in a black rubbed finish. The sides and back are solid wood panels enhanced by a cottage beadboard design. Classic rounded finials finish off each post. You are given the option to choose no mattress, or 1 free mattress. The Casey Daybed is great for a guest room or bedroom, but it also makes a fine sofa for any office area. This daybed comes with an optional roll-out trundle drawer: you can remove the dividers and put up to an 8-inch-thick mattress inside and the drawer becomes and instant bed for a friendly sleepover (the trundle does not pop-up). This daybed uses a standard twin-size mattress. Positioned 15 inches from the floor, the included wooden slat support system allows you to use the bed without a box spring. Assembly required. Ships via common carrier.

Free mattresses available are Sleep Time Mattresses. This twin sized mattress is constructed of durable polyester knit and sports a 1/4 inch quilted fire barrier on the top and border. The smooth bottom panel is also flame resistant to keep you extra safe in the event of an emergency. The mattress is filled with a double layer of High Density Dream Soft polyurethane foam for added comfort. Mattress measures 73L x 37W x 5.75 inches.

Great buy! I had been shopping around for a daybed for about a year and I kept coming back to this one. It looks good in any room! I bought a memory foam mattress for it and the bed is so comfortable. In picture below this is what it looks like in our house we are renting. It will look much better with the new bedding, the natural walls, and the hardwood floors that we have in our permanent house. I will update picture later.

the daybed was great, easy to assemble, worth the money, but the so called mattress was a joke, a complete waste, opened it, felt it, and tossed it in the garbage, no wonder it was free, I felt a little conned by you for even calling it a mattress, would be careful about ordering from you again.

Beautiful Bed.

Service and delivery comments:

I was very excited about getting this bed. I see now they have changed the listing in the configuration drop down box but when I ordered this bed, I was under the impression the trundle was included as this was the case with every other website that sells this particular bed. There was no option to choose the trundle and no mention that the company was actually sold out. When I received my order with no trundle, I contacted the company has I had then found the entire bed on another website (trundle included) for $400 no shipping and no tax. Hayneedle refused to acknowledge the website error or negotiate the price. As someone who is in the customer service industry, I am very unhappy and will not use this company again.

Bed will be used for grandsons when they visit. I'm so happy with this purchase. I only wish the media chest was available in the walnut finish. Would love to order a chest of drawers in a matching finish. Would definitely purchase again. Read some of the reviews about the finish scratching easily, but I didn't experience this at all, and I even tried to scratch a hidden spot to test.

Service and delivery comments:

I mistakenly ordered the full size bed first. When I realized that I had ordered the wrong bed, Customer Service was extremely helpful and accommodating. They were so easy to work with. The delivery was prompt and loved having the capability of tracking the packages.

I can't believe it arrived so quickly, but was surprised that the trundle was not in the boxes. Then I found the extremely small print that said the trundle was optional. Silly me! I thought if I bought the "daybed with trundle" that the trundle would be part of the package!
