The main focal point of the Palazzo Dressing Chest is a square door centered near the top. This door is beautifully decorated with inlaid primavera and walnut veneer to give this chest a look that easily distinguishes it from the other. Flanking either side of this door are four square drawers, perfect for storing jewelry and accessories. The top drawers have felt bottoms to protect precious pieces. Four large drawers follow and offer storage for bulkier clothing items. All drawers are dust-proofed to prevent even the tiniest of wood shavings from getting on your things.
Most people may not even notice the panel doors on each end of the chest. Behind each one are four shelves for storing jewelry and accessories. Jewelry hooks are also located behind the right end panel. Details that will get noticed include the antique brass finished hardware on every drawer and door, and the carved acanthus leaf details in the upper corners. Rounded drawer and door fronts are indicative of the quality craftsmanship that has gone into this piece.
